Bronx, NY: The ParkChester subway station (#6 Line) is fully accessible to the Public. William Low  has designed two murals for the interior of the Parkchester subway station for the Metropolitan Transit Authority.  The two 11’ by 11’ foot high murals depicted morning and evening in the Parkchester neighborhood.  William Low drew inspiration from the surrounding blocks of this vibrant New York Community.  Erskin Mitchell Stained Glass in Baton Rouge, Louisiana fabricated the murals designed by William Low.  MTA installed the murals on opposite sides of the Parkchester Station on both the Manhattan Bound track and Bronx bound tracks.

This Station is being revitalized under a capitol improvement fund/Arts for Transit program.  The community will enjoy upgrade of the station facility along with the two murals. Click here for overview of the project at MTA site.
